How are cranes and excavators painted?
You may have asked yourself at some point in your life; how are those big cranes and excavators painted? When you think about it, cranes always have some kind of colour and excavators also have some paint on them. There are companies that specialize in this job. But how can they paint such big machines? Which steps do they have to go through? We would like to tell you more about that so you can make the right decision by yourself.
Before the paint
When it comes to painting cranes and painting excavators the materials are usually disassembled beforehand. The vehicles are obviously incredibly large and cannot be painted in one go. They also consist of many parts and each part must be able to be painted well. After the disassembly, the cranes and excavators are given a good clean so that the paint can stick in the best possible way. They are also cleaned with high pressure by blasting. The materials are then made completely ready for the painting phase.
So next, the machines are painted. For this a high quality paint is used. The machines are used intensively in all weather conditions and thus the paint must be able to withstand this. It would of course be a shame if the paint would be completely worn off after just a few weeks! An extra layer is also applied to keep the paint in the best condition even longer. In this way the paint is completely suitable for cranes and excavators. This is also the reason why not just any company can do it themselves!
After painting the cranes and excavators they are completely reassembled. All parts come together again to form the final machine. You can then choose to have the machine lettered. For many companies it is of course advertising when they are working with their machines. Many people often walk past a construction site in a city or village. Therefore, many companies choose to have the machines lettered, so that everyone knows who the machines belong to and who is at work there. Therefore, lettering the vehicles is actually very important. The letters used for lettering the vehicles is also of the best quality and these too will not just wear off. Thus, the companies are guaranteed of the best quality! Therefore, most companies choose to hire a paint company for painting these vehicles, and that is completely understandable!
